This is more than a visual update, it’s a foundational shift that reflects our pedagogy and unlocks a smarter, more personalized path that adapts to how you learn.

We’re adding new, adaptive lessons that flex to your goals and pace. Our Speak Method is centered around three pillars: learn, practice, apply. All of our lessons are mapped to a pillar to maximize speaking practice and build consistency as you work your way to fluency.

Learn: More voice-first lessons‍

Learn new words and phrases together through dynamic dialogue and speaking cards, just like practicing with a real tutor. These lessons are powered by real-time voice and designed entirely around speaking.

Practice: Extra vocabulary practice with new vocab side quests‍

We heard you: more opportunities to review and grow your vocabulary. These bite-sized lessons are tailored to what you’re learning now, making them the perfect way to stay consistent, even on your busiest days.

Practice: Unit refreshers

You told us coming back after a break can feel tough, and it’s easy to lose your place or your motivation. Unit Refreshers make it easy to pick up where you left off. Revisit key concepts in a quick review to get back into the rhythm of learning fast.

Apply: Immersive roleplay lessons

We transformed our roleplay lessons into an audio-driven format that feels like speaking with someone in person. Still living in the Free Talk tab, you’ll move through a genuine two-way conversation rather than following prewritten lines. The audio-first approach makes it easy to practice wherever you are. You get fast, natural responses, along with built-in hints, clear feedback, and level-appropriate adjustments throughout the dialogue.

Speak Level

Your Speak Level is the first step toward true language assessment. Speak Level gives you a tangible way to measure your speaking ability and track your growth over time, showing what you’ve mastered, what’s next, and how your practice is paying off. Speak Level will be available to users learning English in Korea, Japan and Taiwan, with a full rollout for all users in 2026.

Building a habit is the heart of language learning. We’re making it easier (and more fun) to keep going. You’ll find more ways to keep your streak alive and celebrate your progress with new features like streak freeze, streak repair, and milestone celebrations.
